Two senior United Nations staff, Amina Mohamed Nur and Abdirizack Adama were shot dead in a drive-by shooting outside Maka Hotel in Mogadishu, Somalia. According to witnesses, Amina who recently returned to work after months of maternity leave died after the gunmen opened fire on a car they were riding in the busy Mogadishu Makka al-Mukarama street (pictured).
The gunmen fled from the area before police & intelligence forces arrived to carry out investigations. Al-Shabaab terror group has claimed responsibility for the killing.
